AR & VR: #TheNextEvolution in Retail

About the Topic

It’s difficult to describe all the ways that augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are going to affect the retail industry. From the consumer perspective, AR and VR give shoppers the ability to visualize a purchase from their home, or a retail location, in ways that were previously impossible. But the technology doesn’t just benefit the consumer. As shoppers are shopping using immersive technology, app owners can track which items shoppers are paying the most attention to. Brands, distributors, and retailers can use AR to visualize in-store displays, in the context of their store, before the display is constructed. Stores can use VR to place shoppers in the aisles and measure where they look. This doesn’t even get into the concept of completely virtual retail locations, which are also on the horizon.  Come hear from the experts about #TheNextEvolution in Retail.

What’s The Format:

5:30-6:00 – Demos and Networking
6:00-6:30 – Introductions.
6:30-7:30 – Panel Discussion and Q&A
7:30-8:15 – Networking & Demos
8:15-8:30 – Cleanup and Good Bye

We start with informal networking and technology demonstrations, then host a panel discussion to answer audience questions, and we end with more networking and technology demonstrations. The conversation will start with a primary topic, but ultimately take us wherever it goes. We keep it simple and informal – this MeetUp is about you, our members, and not the host or presenters. Come and try some new technology, get your questions answered, and take your next step in XR Technology.
