VR & AR: #TheNextEvolution in Packaging

About the Topic

Immersive technology and packaging are a natural fit. Augmented reality allows for a package to display more information than the space on the package itself may allow. This provides for a number of use cases – including instructions, warnings, content or nutritional information, or even entertainment content. Brands as large as McDonalds and as small as 19 Crimes Wines have demonstrated how adding AR content to packaging can engage audiences worldwide. But virtual reality has it’s place as well in the packaging industry – allowing for pre-manufacturing 3D rendering of packages for design purposes, pre-installation purposes, or showing how in-store displays and shelf placement can effect shopper behavior. Come learn about theses topics and hear form experts working in this field right now, here in Chicago.

What’s The Format:

5:30-6:00 – Demos and Networking
6:00-6:30 – Introductions & Welcome
6:30-7:00 – Panel Presentations (VR, AR & Packaging)
7:00-8:00 – Panel Discussion and Q&A
8:00-8:30 – Networking & Demos

We start with informal networking and technology demonstrations, then host a panel discussion to answer audience questions, and we end with more networking and technology demonstrations. The conversation will start with a primary topic, but ultimately take us wherever it goes. We keep it simple and informal – this MeetUp is about you, our members, and not the host or presenters. Come and try some new technology, get your questions answered, and take your next step in XR Technology.
