Matt Petermann has more than 15 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. His formal education in architecture from the University of Minnesota and experience working in the field has given him the background necessary to effectively plan how a design firm uses new and existing technology to deliver great projects to their clients. For the past ten plus years, Matt has focused on the use of technology in supporting firmwide execution of projects with the Digital Practice team at Perkins and Will.
Matt develops process and technology solutions that deliver complicated high quality projects efficiently. His day-to-day duties consist of reviewing contracts and proposals, supporting the advancement of the practice in international offices, assisting with Digital Execution Plan strategies, data analytics and model/project health, reviewing and implementing new software tools and processes, utilizing new real time visualization and VR, coordinating firmwide continuing education exchanges, strategizing for further collaboration between Perkins and Will and contractors. In addition to these responsibilities, Matt is a participating member of the planning committee for the Lean Construction Institute and speaker at many events, BiLT conference speaker in Europe, North America, and Australia. He has presented at the International Institute of Sustainable Laboratories conference and webcast speaker for McGraw-Hill & Sefaira webinars.
